iOffer.com

Many times when I've been looking for a television show on DVD, results from the website, iOffer.com have popped up. I've definitely spent some time mulling whether I want to buy bootlegged dvd's of some of the classic tv shows I watched as a kid, such as Hey Dude, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and other Nickelodean shows. I've generally just decided to avoid it in hopes of them being released legitimately.

I finally decided to try the website out when I was looking for a hilarious tv show, Joe Schmoe 2. I remember laughing my butt off and have been wanting to rewatch the season and found the show on iOffer.com and nowhere else.

The process of buying the dvd's was simple and I have enountered no problems with the transaction and received the dvd's a few days ago (very quickly). I definitely recommend iOffer.com if you are looking for something (many things are offered on the website) that you can't find elsewhere. Or hell, just take a look and see if the price can be beat on iOffer.com.

Blockbuster and Hollywood Video: Their Last Days?

For the first time in quite awhile, I visited a local Seattle Blockbuster and Hollywood Video and was left underwhelmed and disappointed with both. The Blockbuster was tiny, which meant, their selection was horrid. The Hollywood Video is located next to the popular burger joint, Dicks, but that part of town was scary! The Hollywood Video had a better selection than Blockbuster, but it was much further away than Blockbuster.

So, I decided to sign up for Netflix and just not have to deal with Blockbuster and Hollywood. The only good they offer is used dvd's for sale. I figure if there is something I need to rent and I don't want to wait for Netflix or watch on my computer, I can maybe give Blockbuster or Hollywood a shot, but hopefully that won't happen.

Let me add that I tend to prefer Hollywood Video and in some locations, such as Federal Way, the Hollywood Video is great, safe, and offers a great selection, but the one on Broadway in Seattle was just horrid.

More Target Furniture Nightmares

This time I found some cute nightstands at Target for a bargain rate of $59.99. That should've been a warning sign. They had a display model out that seemed sturdy and it was definitely cute.

I bought two of them and began assembling one that night. It took about 2 hours and I wasn't even finished (these are tiny nightstands, about 20 inches tall). It was then that I noticed some damage and that you could see too much of the unpainted parts of the nightstand. I was gonna overlook it until I realized how whacked the instructions were and my drawer would just not fit right. So I decided to return them and NOT buy anymore furniture from Target, even though I love my cute affordable bookshelves.

Heed my warning: be leery of buying furniture from Target. Read the consumer reviews and be prepared to return it if you aren't happy.

Oh, how I loved Target, until...

So I have spent a great deal of money at Target over the years. They have such great items and I lived close to one in the last few states I've lived in (after Idaho) so I tried to take advantage of it. I have been looking for nightstands and was shocked to find out how expensive they are. I found some great nightstands on Target.com that were on clearance for about $70. The reviews overall were good, but I didn't realize how bad some of the reviews were until I opened my first nightstand that was shipped to me.

It literally came apart when I took it out of the box. I've never seen a piece of furniture so poorly made. I've bought some cheap furniture in my life, sometimes from Wal-Mart, sometimes from thrift stores, but this nightstand was truly horrendous. The nightstands were "Dark Wood" Cabinet's that are really attractive looking but poorly made. So now I have to haul two huge boxes to Target for my refund and I still don't have nightstands for my bedroom.

Why I Am Starting This Blog

Since I moved into my own place a little over a month ago, I have bought a lot of things, shopped at a lot of stores, and experienced a lot of things. I always found other user reviews helpful when purchasing items and sometimes those reviews convinced me to buy something else. So, I am gonna do my own reviews of random things I buy, stores I visit, websites I use for shopping, and random experiences I have.
